16th of January, 2014 — Workout — Wide Grip Pullups, Rows, Let Me In’s & Sandbag Curls

Hey Convicts,

I forgot to mention in my last post that I’m now on the Strength Block of the YAYOG 1st class program, meaning it’s Interval training.

ITS RING DAY BABY!!! I found a spot outside thats kind of covered!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Albeit, its 20 something out so it’ll be a bit chilly but its so worth it. I LOVE ME SOME RING TIME!

Well hot damn those Sandbag Curls were a lot more intense than I had anticipated. They were the last workout of the day, but I didnt think 70lbs of sand would be that difficult, especially because I was using both arms. Maybe I’m a lot weaker than I thought haha. Good thing I’m working out then right?

I absolutely missed doing my Pullups though. The burn from those is only second to the abdominal burn. I love them both … for some strange reason. Guess I’m just crazy I suppose. Do you like the burn?!

It was surprisingly not too cold out once I got the blood pumping. The first few sets of the Pullups were a bit rough, but after I got them going, it was all good. I was also shadow boxing during my rest times, so that probably helped get the blood pumping.

BAM! Leave me some love with how your workouts were are going, if you’re struggling, you know the usual jazz.

STAY STRONG!

CONVICTS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

How’re you all doing today? Another scorcher for me … think it was hovering around 91 ( fahrenheit for our non euro friends! ) with an ungodly high percentage of humidity. It’d rained the prior evening, so mother nature was just being cruel … at least for me!

That being said, I didnt get in as good of a workout as I had planned, because the gym doesnt have AC, or it’s really really bad.

How was your workout today Convict?

Fellow Convicts,

How’re you doing on this fine day? Another boxing day for me. I do enjoy me some punching!

Trainer worked me into the ground again, I actually gagged this time but held my composure, and persevered. Don’t want to be puking at the gym!

18th of June, 2013 — Workout — PUNCH PUNCH BOX BOX!

WWWhats happening CONVICTS!!!!!!!!!

Finally able to make it back to the boxing gym after a few weeks hiatus. Shoulder was cooperative up until the last round of hitting the Heavy Bag. Worth it though, I held back on my Straight Right because I didnt want to mess that guy up again. I do love me some good ol’ boxing training though 🙂

There’s a few kids in the gym who’re fighting coming up this weekend, and another next month some time. I didnt get all the specifics, but I’m planning on watching the one this weekend. It’s pure boxing, the one next month is MMA

I like MMA, but it’s just not the same … which is why you’ve to love them both! If I had started young and trained to be a world champ, I’d absolutely choose boxing though.

As usual – Boxing rounds are three minutes long, with one minute breaks, and each workout is for three rounds Check it!

STAY STRONG!

Hey Convicts,

More punching bag, and almost puking fun! Gotta love it when hitting the mitts with the trainer and he notices you’re tired and then pushes you even harder. No way you’re going to quit at this point because he wont let you live that one down. I also like digging down deep, and overcoming my bodies desire to quit. It’s crazy how much you can overcome by willpower. Your body wants to shut down, but if you’re strong willed you wont break. You’ll bend a hell of alot though.

As with all my boxing training, everything is three, three minute rounds, with one minute break.

STAY STRONG!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
